If you listen to 98.5 KYGO throughout the month of October, you may hear an unfamiliar voice on a new song, but he’s actually from right here in our backyard!
Atlus, who’s the voice behind the song we are featuring all month called “Devil Ain’t Done,” grew up right here in Commerce City, Colorado near the stinky Purina Dog Food plant.
Atlus actually wrote his first two (of four) albums while working as a commercial driver behind the wheel of semi-trucks, using the long, lonesome miles of highway, mostly from Denver to Grand Junction, to craft lyrics and workshop melodies as he drove countless hours to help support his family and fund studio time.
The songs have resonated as he’s already landed a Top 5 album on Spotify’s Global Album Chart, a Platinum single, and over a billion on-demand streams and two million followers across socials. That led him to sign with BBR Music group/BMG Nashville for his debut release on the label, “Devil Ain’t Done,” which is available now.
From a trailer park in the Denver suburbs to a star country music artist, remember the name Atlus as he continues to make Colorado proud!
