Many iconic artifacts from this year’s Olympics are on display in Colorado – Here’s how to see them

Feb 26, 2026, 5:16 PM

If you watched any of the Winter Olympics in Italy this year, some of the things you saw on TV are now in Colorado on display for you to check out in person.

Items from the 2026 Games like the American flag that was draped on the shoulders of Hilary Knight after the U.S. women’s national hockey team won a gold medal over Canada are now on display 5,000 miles from where the games took place, in Colorado Springs at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum.

Other relics at the museum include the “Miracle on Ice” scoreboard from Team USA’s hockey upset over the Soviet Union at the 1980 Olympics and is home to one of only two complete collections of Olympic torches and gold medals in the world. The other is in Switzerland, meaning the museum has the only set in North America.

The U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum in Colorado Springs is generally open Thursday–Monday (10 a.m.–5 p.m.), closed Tuesday-Wednesday. Fall/winter tickets (post-Labor Day) range from roughly $19.95–$23.95 for adults and $11.95–$13.95 for children. The museum offers discounts for seniors, military, and, seasonally, Colorado residents.
