Peyton Manning now the owner of pro women’s soccer team coming to Denver

This certainly means that Peyton Manning is in Denver for life, right?
Denver’s National Women’s Soccer League announced Tuesday morning that Manning has joined the club’s ownership group led by controlling owner Rob Cohen.
Manning joins legendary alpine skier Mikaela Shiffrin, who invested in bringing the NWSL team to Denver after the team was originally announced earlier this year.
“It’s a real honor to be part of something so meaningful to the Colorado community,” Manning, a Colorado resident, says in an announcement about his investment. “I’m proud to support the growth of women’s sports and excited to help build a club that our city and our state can rally behind.”
The new NWSL club is set to begin play in 2026 and has revealed plans to build a permanent performance center and temporary stadium in Centennial, as well as a permanent stadium in Denver. The team has also set a record for season ticket deposits.
Peyton isn’t the only Manning to invest in the NWSL. His brother Eli invested in Gotham FC, the New York/New Jersey NWSL team, in 2022. He used that as motivation for his announcement video Tuesday…
