The conspiracy theories about weird stuff happening at Denver International Airport (DIA) are so prevalent that the airport actually pokes fun of them in their marketing materials. But here’s one you you likely haven’t heard…
A guy is going viral on Reddit talking about his job near DIA in the 90’s as an armed guard for a “weird door.”
The guy claims that he was employed by a private government security contractor out of Canada, assigned to guard the door with a loaded weapon while never being told what has behind it.
He says the door was located in a large “unremarkable from the outside” warehouse about four kilometers south of the airport, with the warehouse housing a cement tunnel that led to the single door he was guarding.
He was instructed not to ask questions about the job, but he says he noticed an odd hum and a scratching noise coming from behind the door, also claiming that high-ranking military officials would occasionally go inside, but he was never there when they came out. He also commented on the smell, described as burnt plastic, wet earth, and metallic. The air also ‘felt wrong,’ as if it lacked oxygen or like the air pressure was off.
The man says he never got any answers before he quit the job in 1999.
