Few names are more synonymous with the Denver Nuggets organization than Doug Moe. Sadly, the legendary coach has passed away at 87 years old.

Moe was the Nuggets head coach from 1980-1990. He also was an assistant under Larry Brown from 1974-1976 and was with the team again as a coaching consultant and assistant coach from 2002-2008.

His 432 wins with the Nuggets marked the most in franchise history until Michael Malone passed him in 2024.

Moe’s 628 head coaching wins overall rank 19th in NBA history. He was inducted into the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame in 1997.
