Last week millennials around Denver got really excited when we found out an “X-Files” reunion is coming to town. Today that same excitement is hitting kids as it was announced that one of the biggest animated movies ever will also have a presence in the Mile High City.
A star of Netflix’s record-breaking animated hit “KPop Demon Hunters” is coming to Colorado next month for Fan Expo Denver.
Voice actor Ji-Young Yoo, who plays a member of the film’s fictional K-pop group, was added Wednesday to the celebrity lineup for the four-day pop culture convention, scheduled May 28–31 at the Colorado Convention Center.
Yoo joins a roster that already includes Dolph Lundgren of “Rocky IV,” Gillian Anderson of “The X-Files,” David Tennant of “Doctor Who” and a massive “Lord of the Rings” reunion featuring Orlando Bloom, Elijah Wood, Karl Urban, Sean Astin and John Rhys-Davies, among others.
Fan Expo Denver bills itself as the state’s largest pop culture festival. The event features a 300,000-square-foot shopping floor, celebrity Q&As, autograph and photo sessions, cosplay competitions and panels spanning comics, anime, sci-fi and gaming.
Single-day tickets and four-day passes are available at FanExpoHQ.com. Autograph and photo-op tickets with individual guests can also be purchased online.
