Kip Moore makes a big move and George Strait announces a highly-anticipated show | Music City Minute

Kip Moore is the latest country artist to leave his long-time label. Kip was signed to MCA Nashville and put out six albums while under contract. He posted a statement saying “I’ve been extremely grateful for the opportunity to make records with a label like MCA. They have a top-notch team and I’ve been so lucky to have the freedom throughout the years to do it my way.” He also mentions this next record is going to be completely independent for the first time in his career, and he can’t put into words how excited he is.
Fans of George Strait have been begging him to come back to Texas and play a show in his home state. Well, the King was listening and they got their wish. George announced that he has scheduled a show for Saturday, June 15 in College Station, Texas. Now, a homecoming show wouldn’t be complete without some other Texas natives on the bill. So, he invited Catie Offerman and Parker McCullum to serve as his support. As if this wasn’t exciting enough, this is going to be the first ever concert at Texas A & M’s Kyle Field.
I’m Sheena and that’s your Music City Minute.
