Kickoff times revealed for three Colorado games

May 27, 2026, 3:43 PM

The Big 12 Conference and its television partners revealed kickoff times for three Colorado football games for the 2026 season.

CU’s home opener against Weber State will be played at Folsom Field on Saturday, September 12 and it will kick off at 1:30 p.m. MT. The game will air on ESPN+. This will be the first time the schools will play each other.

The following week, Colorado will travel to Illinois to take on Northwestern with kickoff happening at 5:30 p.m. MT and it will air on FOX or FS1. This will be the first time in 75 years that CU has traveled to Evanston to take on the Wildcats. In that game, Colorado lost, 35-14, but the Buffs got their revenge in 1978 when they beat Northwestern 55-7 in Boulder.

On Friday, November 13, the Buffs will host Houston for the first time ever in Boulder. That game will kickoff at 8:15 p.m. MT and it will be nationally televised on ESPN.

All-time, Colorado has a 1-1 record against Houston with the Cougars beating the Buffs last season 36-20.

On May 12, it was announced that CU will open their season on the road against Georgia Tech on Thursday September 3. That game will kickoff at 6 p.m. MT and air on ESPN.

Last season, the Buffs fell to the Yellow Jackets 27-20 at Folsom Field.

Colorado will open their season with three straight nationally televised windows as the hype continues to surround Deion Sanders and his football program.

The rest of the schedule is out for the Buffs, but times and TV info is still in the works. Below is the remaining games on the schedule:

September 26 @ Baylor

October 24 @ Oklahoma St.

October 31 vs. Kansas St.
