Josh Turner’s vocal scare and Country Music Hall of Fame inductees announced | Music City Minute

Josh Turner’s baritone voice is instantly recognizable and he’s maintained a very successful career in country and gospel. However, things could have been very different for him. Right before he moved to Nashville, he injured his vocal cords. He said at the time, he thought his dreams were crushed. But it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. He said his single greatest asset was being forced to learn the importance of vocal care. Taking the necessary steps to know how to sing properly, and maintain it, to sing for many more years to come.
This week, Brooks & Dunn hosted a press conference to announce the Country Music Hall of Fame 2024 inductees. First up is the Telecaster Master, James Burton, who has played with Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash and Merle Haggard. Up next, John Anderson, who wrote and recorded one of my all-time favorite country songs, “Seminole Wind”. And last, but not least, “Should’ve Been a Cowboy” singer, Toby Keith, who we lost to cancer last month. The 2024 inductees will be formally enshrined in a medallion ceremony in October.
