Its official! Team USA vs Team Canada for US Men’s Hockey

The US Women’s hockey already took home the gold beating Canada’s team, now the men will have their chance to match that feat as it will be Team USA vs Team Canada Saturday morning for the gold!

Team USA has not won a gold medal since the 1980 Lake Placid Winter Games which was the same year as the “Miracle On Ice” moment when the US beat the Soviet Union. They have not won a silver medal since 2002, so either way, a several decades old medal drought will come to a close Sunday.

The match up came together after Canada beat Finland and the US beat Slovakia Friday.  Finland and Slovakia will face off for the bronze this afternoon.

It will be an early wake up call for people around Colorado with a start time of 6:10am
