Ingrid Andress’ performance and how it’ll affect her show in Denver | Music City Minute

Jul 18, 2024, 4:28 PM | Updated: 4:32 pm

Ingrid Andress experienced every musician’s worst nightmare — a nervous and off-key performance of the national anthem that was broadcast on national TV. The performance took place before the 2024 MLB Home Run Derby in Arlington, Texas. Andress followed up with a statement the next day. Addressing the incident, she said, “I’m checking myself into a facility today to get the help I need. That was not me last night. I apologize to MLB, all the fans and this country I love so much for that rendition. I’ll let y’all know how rehab is. I hear it’s super fun. xo, Ingrid.”

Recently, Andress confirmed she’s been working on new music. A new single “Colorado 9” is scheduled to drop July 24. To celebrate, she was going to play an intimate show at Globe Hall in Denver that evening. While the new single could still be released, any performances will have to be moved to the back burner.
