Human Head Found in a Freezer After a Colorado House Was Sold

Jan 17, 2024, 3:32 PM

This story sounds like something straight out of the Jeffery Dahmer horror story, but it happened right here in Colorado…

Authorities are investigating a possible homicide after a human head was found in a deep freezer in a front yard. Mesa County Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of a suspicious incident at a home on the 2900 block of Pinyon Avenue in Grand Junction at 2:30 p.m. Friday (Jan. 12). New homeowners were cleaning out various leftover belongings at a recently sold house and discovered a bag with possible human remains inside.

Authorities have since confirmed it was a human head, but thank goodness, it doesn’t sound like there is a Dahmer-like person running around, investigators also said they believe there isn’t any ongoing threat to the public and this is an “isolated incident.”
