Honey Boo Boo is Coming to Denver!

Alana Thompson, a.k.a. “Honey Boo Boo” is getting ready to start a new chapter in her life. The 17-year old reality star confirmed she will be attending Regis University of Denver in the fall! Miss Alana is planning to study nursing and would love to become a neonatal nurse.
Miss Alana said of growing into adulthood: “I am ready. I think that it is definitely going to be a different journey, but I think I’m ready for it.”
Currently, Miss Alana has made appearances on her mom’s reality show “Mama June: From Not to Hot.” When she was asked if cameras would be documenting her schooling she said “I don’t know if the cameras will be following me just yet. Y’all are just going to really have to wait and see what happens.’
It is great to see Miss Alana perusing a nursing degree. I’m sure there were so many avenues she could have chosen (especially in reality television). I feel like this shows a level of maturity that many child/ reality T.V. stars never develop.
