Hollywood strikes create change for the 75th Emmy Awards

Denver, CO — One of the most well-renowned award shows for actors and television across the globe is not to far in the future. However due to strikes in Hollywood relating to writers and actors, now The Emmy awards are even farther in the future. 

The 75th Emmy awards were slated to take place in September of this year, so next month. Now, they’ve been postponed to January. Originally, it was assumed the actors would not attend the ceremony and the writers wouldn’t write for the show. 

According to NPR, This is the first time since 2001 that the Emmys have been delayed. Additionally, the site notes on July 13th, The Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artist (SAG-AFTRA) announced their strike. It was just one day before, July 12th, the Emmy’s announced their nominees.
