When you make a guy one of the richest football players in the world, giving Russell Wilson $245 million, it probably isn’t easy to tell him not to play. But maybe the Broncos should!
Today Denver’s head coach Nathaniel Hackett was asked if he would sit the team’s expensive, but very ineffective quarterback on the bench. “Right now, no,” he told reporters Wednesday when asked about a potential QB change.
I am not saying Russ has earned the right to start, but I will remind fans who are asking for him to be sat down that he missed a game earlier this season, and Brett Rypien didn’t make the offense look any better. So maybe you let the guy play and try to figure things out before next season?
