Grand Ole Opry forced to cancel legendary live show, Jason Aldean fans let down | Music City Minute

Winter has finally arrived in the Mile High City. While many folks braved the cold to either watch football or visit the National Western Complex for the final weekend of Stock Show and pro-rodeo finals, our friends to the east could not even leave the house. Winter Storm Fern delivered blizzard conditions so dangerous, the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville decided it would be safer to cancel their Saturday night live show. A full cancellation is practically unheard of for the legendary program. That said, producers encouraged fans to tune into the 100-year-old show the old-fashioned way, from the comfort of home. Winter Storm Fern caused further disappointment among Jason Aldean fans who were geared up to see him in Charleston, West Virginia. Unfortunately, the weekend concert had to be postponed due to safety concerns. A statement shared by the Georgia native’s team apologized for the inconvenience but assured fans original tickets will be honored at the new August 21 show.
