That giant new building in Aurora near I-70 and Chambers is the new ZYN nicotine pouch factory, and they’re now operating and still need to fill some positions…
In July 2024, Philip Morris International announced plans for the factory that makes ZYNs, a brand of tobacco-free small white pouches with plant-based fibers that allow nicotine to be absorbed into the bloodstream.
The tobacco company said it would invest $600 million within two years and create 500 direct jobs in the state, as well as 1,000 indirect jobs. Current job listings include process technicians, retail team managers, accountants and category managers.
Salaries range anywhere from $27 per hour to $165,000 per year. Some positions require a bachelor’s degree in addition to a master’s degree in engineering or equivalent education.
The ZYN facility has begun preliminary operations, with regular production starting in 2026.
