George Strait to be honored at the CMA Awards and Michael Ray complains about Nashville | Music City Minute

Congratulations to the king, George Strait, as he will be receiving the 2024 Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement CMA Award. I don’t think anybody in country music will argue that Strait hasn’t earned this honor – with 60 number-one singles, 17 CMA wins, 83 CMA nominations and 70 million albums sold. This year’s ceremony will definitely be one to watch (even if you are not really into award shows), because the George Strait tribute will be worth it.

Michael Ray is the latest country artist to be victim of crime in Music City. Ray recently shared a picture of his truck with a smashed window. He goes on to slam the “New Nashville” saying “You can’t even park your truck without some lowlife breaking in.” The “Holy Water” singer didn’t reveal if anything was stolen; nonetheless, the entire situation left Ray madder than a wet hen.
