George Strait is stepping up to help his home state after the devastating floods hit the Texas Hill Country. On July 27, Strait will be performing and cohosting a benefit gala called “Strait from the Heart” in Boerne, Texas. According to the press release, the goal of the event is to raise meaningful immediate supports for flood victims and honor first responders. It is confirmed that Wade Bowen, Riley Green, Randy Hauser, Jamie Johnson, Hudson Westbrook and several other artists will be joining The King for this special event, which is limited to 1,000 guests. Money raised from the concert and dinner will go to the Vaqueros Del Mar Texas Flood Relief Fund, which will be distributed directly to the Hill Country Fund. The statement concludes with Strait saying, “Our hearts and prayers are with you all.” Fans can find more information about tickets and tables for the benefit gala at George Strait’s official website.
