Free Slurpee Day is July 11 — here’s how to get yours in Denver

Jul 10, 2026, 4:01 PM

The Slurpee turns 60 tomorrow, and 7-Eleven is celebrating the only way it knows how: by giving them away. Saturday, July 11 — 7/11, because of course — every participating 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes location nationwide will hand out one free small Slurpee per customer from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. No purchase necessary, no app required, no catch. Just walk in, grab one and try not to get brain freeze before you hit the parking lot.

Denver has more than 100 7-Eleven and Speedway locations across the metro, so you won’t have to go far — there’s practically one on every other corner from LoDo to Lakewood. If you do have the 7Rewards or Speedy Rewards app and scan it during your visit, you’ll unlock a second free Slurpee to redeem later in July, which is basically a two-for-one deal that costs you nothing but 30 seconds of phone-fumbling at the counter. Rewards members can also score a free large Slurpee today (Friday) with any $20 purchase through the 7NOW delivery app.

This year’s birthday flavor is Mountain Dew Confetti Chill — described as a lemon birthday cake Slurpee with citrus and sweet vanilla icing notes that you can top with pink, green and blue sugar crystals. It sounds like something a 6-year-old would invent if given unlimited power, which is probably why it works. The flavor is available for a limited time through late August.

Denver was one of 12 cities that hosted a special “Slurpee Date” pop-up activation at select stores last year, though this year’s pop-ups land in Dallas, Malibu, Columbus and Seaside Park, New Jersey — so we’ll have to settle for the free drink without the bedazzled double straws and photo bench. Given that it’s supposed to be 95 degrees in Denver on Saturday, nobody’s going to complain.
