As reported by Fox 31, fireworks sparked several fires across the Denver metro area and also destroyed a couple of homes.
In the Montbello neighborhood, two homes were left destroyed by fireworks, which is now being investigated by the Denver Fire Department.
No injuries were reported. One family was able to escape the house before it burned but on the other, the homeowner was not even in town. Maria Garcia, who was in El Paso has her housed burned from errant fireworks, was only notified as neighbors frantically reached out to her through her Ring doorbell camera. When she answered, she learned of what was happening to her home back in Colorado.
