Former Denver Broncos’ coach, Mike Shanahan, again snubbed by the Hall of Fame

If Mike Shanahan isn’t a Hall of Fame coach based on what he did with the Denver Broncos in the 1990’s, then it’s hard to figure out what a person has to do to get the honor.
However, the former Broncos’ coach will not be making the Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2026, after being snubbed as a semifinalist… yet again.
The list of nine coach semifinalists for the 2026 class has been narrowed down to one finalist: Bill Belichick.
Shanahan, Reeves, Tom Coughlin, Mike Holmgren, Chuck Knox, Buddy Parker, Marty Schottenheimer and George Seifert did not advance in the voting process, the Hall of Fame announced Wednesday.
Shanahan won three Super Bowls during his career, including two as head coach in Denver.
Voters also snubbed all seven of the Broncos’ senior candidates and all 12 of the team’s modern-era candidates. So Denver won’t have any representatives in the 2026 class, which will be announced before the Super Bowl in February.
