There’s a country music trio that is on the rise right now. You might not have heard about them yet, but it’s time to learn about them.

The Castellows are a group of three sisters. Ellie is on lead guitar, Lily is on lead vocals along with bass and Powell is on the banjo.

Ellie and Powell are two-thirds of a group of triplets with one of their brothers, and Lily is 18 months younger than he two sisters. They also have another brother that rounds out to a group of five siblings in the family. The girls came up with the name of their band in honor of the maiden name of their great grandma, Castellow.

The rising country band grew up on the farm in Georgetown, Georgia, where they were homeschooled, but when they had their free time they were busy working on the farm, playing instruments and singing in the church choir. The trio decided to go attend the University of Georgia because they never thought of making a career in the country music scene. As they joined social media and posted videos of them singing and performing, they were going viral. They put out videos singing covers of Zach Bryan and Tyler Childers that got millions of views. In 2023, The Castellows decided to make the move to Nashville, Tennessee, to make country music their career.

Lily wanted to joined the Air Force after she watched an air show and realized that there wasn’t a single female pilot in the show. After watching the movie “Top Gun,” Lily begged her parents to get her flight lessons. At the age of 17, she received her pilot’s license. Ellie studied Korean and majored in management information systems and international business and was interested in international IT project management. She thought about working for an international company here in America or study abroad overseas, but because of their COVID-19 restrictions, she decided to stay home. Powell loves working on the farm. She studied agriculture in college and got into a masters program, but never attended grad school because of the musical journey.

As the girls continue to grow as artists, they want to continue to write the best songs they can and perform those songs in front of the biggest crowds. Powell has also mentioned that it’s important to them to be good role models as their platform continues to grow.

Some of their biggest inspirations are Alan Jackson and Emmylou Harris.

Lily has mentioned that it would be cool for them to open up or be on a tour with Chris Stapleton, while Ellie would be excited to open up for a rock band like the Red Hot Chili Peppers or even the Foo Fighters.

So far, the trio released their second album back in May called,”Homecoming.”

Right now, the girls have over 36.6 million total streams on just Spotify. They have over 10 million streams with their song “Sober Sundays” with country music artist Wyatt Flores.

The Castellows will be opening up for Koe Wetzel on July 6 at Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre.
