It’s no secret that Sam Hunt‘s album Montevallo was inspired by his on-again, off-again relationship with his now wife Hannah. Of course, not every song he writes is a literal translation of their relationship, but he says she inspires him to be a better songwriter.
Writing songs inspired by Hannah doesn’t always win Sam points in the romance department. He tells Hits Daily Double that she doesn’t think he’s very romantic. “From a candlelight-and-dinner place, not particularly. But in terms of interacting and engaging, how I listen and try to communicate… I love making her feel wanted and sexy and safe, all those things. I’m romantic like that.”
Sam is on the road with his 15 in a 30 tour. He’s SOLD OUT for two shows, 8/21-22 at RED ROCKS.
