Eli Young Band had a close call in the wee hours this morning — their tour bus was destroyed in a fire.

The guys weren’t aboard, and the driver escaped without injury, but all of their equipment is lost, according to the Topeka Capital-JournalIt happened just east of Topeka, Kansas. The driver had just filled up the diesel tank for a trip to Minnesota, where they’re scheduled to play on Friday. The fire started on the bus but quickly spread to their equipment trailer.

The band posted on social media, “We’ve lost more than a bus here. Memories and possessions that we can’t replace! We’re just happy that our driver, Randy, is safe!”

The Shooting Star Casino in Mahnomen, Minnesota has confirmed that their show Friday will go on as planned.
