Colorado Dragon Boat Festival returns this weekend with new fleet of dragons

Jul 18, 2023, 12:39 PM | Updated: 12:39 pm

The Colorado Dragon Boat Festival is on the way back to Sloan’s Lake this weekend and will feature a whole new fleet of dragon boats.

After receiving over $120,000 in donations over the last several decades they have been able to get a new boat for each of the 20-person racing teams.

The Colorado Dragon Boat Festival which has been running since 2001 is the United States largest Dragon Boat festival and helps annually celebrate Asian and Asian American heritage and contributions to the community.

There will, of course, be dragon boats…but also food, an Asian marketplace and several stages of entertainment!  This event is free to the public!
