Downtown Denver is using falcons to get rid of crows

Feb 3, 2025, 4:51 PM | Updated: Feb 4, 2025, 9:44 am

If you’re in Downtown Denver anytime soon and see big mean-looking birds seeming to pick on lazier, more normal-looking birds, it’s all part of the plan…

For the last three months downtown building owners have hired trained falcons to scare away crows that leave droppings everywhere.

Wings Over Colorado is a business based in El Paso County, that brings falcons and other birds of prey wherever needed to scare unwanted nuisance birds, such as crows and pigeons, from their properties.

The job of the falcons isn’t to harm the crows, but to simply scare them out of the high traffic areas where they are unwanted.
