Don’t throw away your Christmas tree, Treecycle it!

As the season winds down and the decorations come down, remember that your Christmas tree doesn’t belong in the trash! It can be recycled into something useful. Recycling your tree helps keep it out of landfills and gives it a second life as mulch, compost, or habitat restoration material.

A few quick tips before you go:
- Remove all ornaments, lights, tinsel, and stands
- Do not bag the tree unless your local program requires it
- Only real trees can be recycled. Artificial trees follow different disposal guidelines
