Did You Know ‘Napoleon Dynamite’ is From Colorado

Oct 26, 2023, 4:47 PM | Updated: 4:50 pm

There are a lot of movie stars “from” Colorado because they get rich and then they move to one of the ritzy mountain towns, but not too many movie stars are actually originally from our state. The guy who played Napoleon Dynamite is though!

I was looking through the celebrity birthdays today, and saw Jon Heder is turning 46. He was born on this day in 1977 in Fort Collins, Colorado.

besides his role as Napoleon, he has also appeared in the films Just Like Heaven, The Benchwarmers, School for Scoundrels, Blades of Glory, Mama’s Boy, When in Rome, and as Roy Disney in Walt Before Mickey.

His time in Colorado didn’t last long, though, his parents moved to Oregon when he was two. Still though, we’re taking credit for him!
