Denver’s Minimum Wage is Going Up a Full Dollar on January 1st

Dec 15, 2023, 5:12 PM

Starting January 1st, 2024, the minimum wage in Denver will jump to $18.29 per hour, a full dollar increase from the current $17.29.

If you make $18.29 per hour, your Yearly salary would be $38,043… I remember when $38,000 a year would’ve made you feel rich, now it’ll be minimum wage in the Mile High City!

The raise is part of Denver’s proactive minimum wage ordinance passed unanimously in 2019. The ordinance ensures wages adjust annually to keep pace with the rising cost of living.

Tipped food and beverage workers will also see their minimum wage rise to $15.27 per hour, as long as they earn at least $3.02 in tips.
