Denver’s Elitch Gardens & Water World looking to hire 2,500 workers combined

Feb 26, 2026, 4:13 PM

With all the warm weather we’ve had in Denver this winter, I bet Elitch Gardens and Water World wished they would’ve just stayed open. Joking aside, regardless of the weather they both close every winter, but they are making preparations to reopen, and that includes hiring thousands.

Elitch Gardens has begun hiring more than 1,500 workers ahead of the summer season. The theme park will hold hiring fairs on Saturday, Feb. 28, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, March 1, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. The hiring fairs will be held in the Front Entry Pavilion located at 2000 Elitch Circle with interviews and job offers taking place on-site. This season, pay will start at $19.29 per hour and up depending on the position.

Elitch Gardens will open for season pass opening weekend on Saturday, April 11, and to the public on Saturday, April 18. Interested applicants can apply online at elitchgardens.com/jobs.

Water World Colorado is accepting applications to fill 1,000 jobs in food service, bar service, lifeguarding, guest services, park services, landscaping and horticulture, safety and security, slide inspection, water quality and more.

Workers receive a free season pass and get discounted tickets for family and friends, plus discounted dining and free beverages. Water World is also offering an end-of-season bonus program.

Everyone who can is encouraged to apply in advance and learn more about various jobs and specific details waterworldcolorado.com/jobshop. Water World opens Memorial Day weekend on Saturday, May 23, and remains open through Labor Day, Sept. 7.
