Denver’s Casa Bonita now sells sopaipilla snow globes, other new collectibles

Apr 16, 2026, 4:51 PM

Add this to the top of the list of things you didn’t know you needed… A Casa Bonita sopapilla snow globe!

Denver’s iconic Casa Bonita has added a wave of new merchandise to its in-house shop, El Mercado, headlined by a pair of collectible sopaipilla-themed snow globes that have quickly become best sellers at the legendary pink-towered restaurant.

The snow globes — available in a 7-inch version for $99.95 and a 6-inch version for $64.95 — feature the restaurant’s beloved sopaipilla character, the flag-waving mascot that for generations has adorned every table inside the Colfax Avenue landmark. The globes join an original Casa Bonita snow globe priced at $24.95 that depicts the restaurant’s famous pink tower.

The sopaipilla snow globes are part of a broader Sopaipilla Collection available through El Mercado, Casa Bonita’s official — and only — merchandise shop. The collection also includes a navy sopaipilla flag matte mug ($17.95), a sopaipilla flag wooden pin ($4.95), knit sopaipilla flag socks ($14.95), a navy matte shot glass ($9.95), a sopaipilla-scented candle ($27.95) and the restaurant’s signature sopaipilla flag itself ($19.95), the tabletop pennant diners raise to signal they are ready for dessert.

The merch expansion reflects a broader strategy by Casa Bonita’s owners — “South Park” creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone — to turn the restaurant into a full-fledged entertainment brand. Since purchasing the struggling restaurant and completing a multimillion-dollar renovation that reopened it in 2023, the duo has steadily built out the gift shop with seasonal drops, including a holiday collection of ugly sweaters, ornaments and themed socks unveiled in late 2025.

Beyond the Sopaipilla Collection, recent new arrivals at El Mercado include a teal blue retro diver flat brim hat ($29.95), a maroon sunrise tower baseball hat ($29.95), vintage waterfall apparel, a “Magic of Casa Bonita” giclée art print, and a poster for the “¡Casa Bonita Mi Amor!” documentary ($39.95). The restaurant also sells its signature salsas and hot sauces through the online store.

El Mercado operates two physical locations inside the restaurant — one off the plaza near the puppet show and another near the museum by the exit — but all items are also available online at shop.casabonitadenver.com. A dining reservation is required to shop in person.
