A school bus driver in Aurora, Colorado, saved 14 children when their school bus caught fire earlier this week.

As the driver was making a turn, he noticed smoke coming from the dashboard and quickly pulled over to evacuate the children. His prompt and calm response ensured that all the children were safely off the bus before the fire spread.

Aurora Fire Rescue arrived to find the bus fully engulfed in flames and quickly extinguished the fire. Their investigation revealed that the accidental blaze started in the engine compartment. The fire department praised the bus driver for his quick thinking and heroic actions, which prevented a potential tragedy.

Aurora Public Schools sent another bus to pick up the students to take them home and later expressed their gratitude to the bus driver, saying he was instrumental in keeping all the children safe. They stressed that the safety of students and staff is their highest priority.
