Next time students return to schools in Denver, there will be less distractions in the classrooms if the Denver school board gets the results they hope for after passing a bell-to-bell ban on cellphones and other personal electronic devices in the classroom.
Colorado had passed a state law requiring schools to have a policy in place regarding cellphone use and some schools such as Marie L Greenwood Early-8 had already began prohibiting cellphones during the school day having students putting their phones in a lock pouches and have had promising results.
This policy will not allow students to access their cell phones, as well as other devices such as ear buds, smart watches and tablets.
DPS will be putting their plan together over the next couple months what their plan will look like for their schools.
