Jordan did it, Kobe and LeBron did it, but the reason Aaron Gordon is changing his jersey number is a little more sentimental.
Denver Nuggets’ star Aaron Gordon will reportedly be switching his number from 50 to 32 for the upcoming NBA season to honor his late brother.
Drew Gordon, 33, died in a car crash in May. He played in the NBA for the 76ers and had a strong international career. He also had a solid college career for UCLA before transferring to New Mexico for his final two college seasons, averaging a double-double each year. Drew wore No. 32 while playing for the Lobos at New Mexico, and thus Aaron will wear that number in his honor this season.
