Denver metro area school district start dates

It’s hard to believe, but kids will be going back to school in a month or less here in Colorado.  Right now families are getting in summer vacations, getting ready to go school clothes shopping and soon school supply shopping.

When do kids in Colorado go back to school? In the metro area, Denver Public Schools seems to have the latest start date, August 19th while Adams County District 14 has the earliest start date of August 5th.

  • Adams County District 14 – August 5th
  • Adams 12 Five Star Schools – August 12th
  • Aurora Public Schools – August 7th
  • Boulder Valley School District
  • Aug. 14: Grades K-5, 6,9
    Aug. 15: Grades 7, 8, 10-12
    Aug. 16: Preschool and Kindergarten
  • Cherry Creek School District 5 – August 12th
  • Denver Public Schools – August 19th
  • Douglas County School District – August 7th
  • Englewood Schools – August 14th
  • Jeffco Public Schools –
  • Aug. 15: K-12
    Aug. 19: Pre-K
  • Littleton Public Schools – August 13th
