Denver’s CandyLand-themed pop-up bar will wrap up its run August 22

Somewhere between “I need a cocktail” and “I miss being eight years old,” there exists a bar in Denver that is currently decorated like a lifesized CandyLand board game, but it’s almost gone.
Adventure Time, Denver’s only rotating-theme cocktail bar at 101 N. Broadway, has transformed into a full CandyLand experience, complete with candy-themed décor, creative craft cocktails and small bites that pair nostalgia with a liquor license. The bar, which has quickly become one of the hottest spots in the city — Yelp currently ranks it as Denver’s No. 1 themed restaurant – changes its entire look and menu with each new “chapter,” and this one is all gummy bear cocktails, “Pie in the Sky” drinks and an atmosphere that looks like Willy Wonka opened a speakeasy.
But the clock is ticking. The bar posted this week that there are only about two more weeks of the CandyLand theme remaining, with the run wrapping up around Aug. 21-22 before the space transforms into its next concept.
If you’ve been meaning to go and keep putting it off, consider this your final warning: the gumdrop-garnished window is closing. Adventure Time is located at 101 N. Broadway, Suite 9, and opens at 6 p.m. Bring your sweet tooth, your friends and your willingness to Instagram a drink that has a gummy bear in it.
