Denver gets Colorado’s first drive-thru only Chick-fil-A

Apr 15, 2026, 5:19 PM

Judging by the drive-thru lines every time I go to Chick-fil-A, I don’t think anyone goes inside to eat anyway, so this is a great idea…

Chick-fil-A will open Colorado’s first drive-thru only restaurant on Thursday (April 15) in Denver’s Central Park neighborhood, debuting a prototype design built for speed that eliminates indoor dining entirely.

The new location, called Chick-fil-A Runway 35 South, will begin serving customers at 6 a.m. at 9111 E. 40th Ave., near Interstate 70 and Central Park Boulevard. It becomes the fourth Chick-fil-A in the city of Denver and joins more than 40 locations serving the broader Denver market.

The restaurant will offer the chain’s full menu — chicken sandwiches, waffle fries and all — but with no indoor seating or in-store ordering. Instead, the prototype is designed around a traditional drive-thru lane, a dedicated Mobile Thru lane for orders placed ahead of time on the Chick-fil-A app, and a walk-up window for carry-out. Outdoor patio seating will also be available.

The location will operate Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to midnight, with the restaurant closed on Sundays in keeping with the chain’s longstanding policy.

To mark the opening, Chick-fil-A said it has donated $25,000 to Feeding America. The chain is also offering its traditional opening day promotion: customers who visit the restaurant dressed in cow attire can redeem one free entrée or kid’s meal at the drive-thru or walk-up window, while supplies last.
