Denver Gets A New Lyft Feature Allowing Women to Request Only Female Drivers

Nov 3, 2023, 4:49 PM

In the crazy world we live in today, simply trying to find a ride can be a scary and intimidating thing, but now ladies in Colorado who feel more comfortable getting rides from female drivers, can do just that.

A Lyft feature that prioritizes matching women drivers and riders is now available in Denver and Colorado Springs.

Called Women+ Connect, the rideshare company said in a statement it was a “highly-requested” option.

The feature does not guarantee a match, but it will prioritize a person’s preference.

The company estimates women are about 23% of drivers on the platform, though they make up nearly half of all riders.
