Denver burglar puts cops on hold while on the toilet

In Lakewood, Colorado, an accused burglar found himself in a crappy situation…quite literally.

Video footage released by the Lakewood Police Department shows what went down during an early morning call late last week.

Police say a report of a “burglary in progress” came in, and they were able to use a drone to track down the suspect. When they entered the building they believed the suspect was in, they approached a closed door, opened it, and found him sitting on the toilet. This was confirmed by the suspect saying, “I’m on the sh…er, bud.” Without being given the opportunity to wipe or pull up his pants, the police instructed him to do the pants-down walk towards them with his hands up and surrender himself.

The alleged perp was taken to jail where he was charged with second-degree burglary, police said.
