Del Taco abruptly closes their Colorado restaurants

I was just talking to someone the other day about the lack of Taco John’s locations in Colorado, and now another major fast food taco joint is gone…

Del Taco abruptly closed 18 of their 19 Colorado restaurants on Thursday (Feb. 27). The only remaining restaurant is in Grand Junction.

Notes on the doors of all the locations state that the restaurants are closed, but don’t give any explanation as to why, simply saying in part “thanks for the patronage and memories.”

There’s been no word from ownership on the reasons for closing or if there’s any chance that the chain will be back in the state at some point.
