Craziest things we ate at Cheyenne Frontier Days include elote pizza and cookie dough pie

Cheyenne Frontier Days has been in full swing for about a week, and in that time I’ve had a couple chances to go take in all they have to offer, including some unique eats!

“The Daddy of ‘Em All” runs through Sunday (July 28) so you still have time to go to a concert, rodeo, the carnival, or maybe just eat something you can’t get anywhere else.

Walking through the food court I saw many normal fair favorites like corndogs (of multiple varieties), funnel cakes, burgers, nachos, etc. There were also a handful of unusual finds that I had to try like a deep fried pie stuffed with chocolate chip cookie dough and topped with ice cream. Then there was the Elote (Mexican Street Corn) Pizza with charred corn, chili powder, cilantro, chipotle mayo, and cojita cheese on top of a charred crust. The Bacon Churro Fries, which are basically exactly what the name says. Finally we tried the Fruity Pebble Shrimp Pineapple Bowl, which was a  shrimp bowl with the classic cereal mixed in, served in a half-pineapple.

I’ll see you at the gym after Frontier Days is over?
