Country artist breaks rib, performer offers refunds to Arkansas fans | Music City Minute

Jun 23, 2025, 4:00 PM

Illness and broken bones were plaguing country artists over the weekend. First up is Kacey Musgraves, who had a show planned for the Ryman Auditorium on June 22. However, that concert has been rescheduled to September 18 because she broke a rib. The “Rainbow” singer posted pictures of her x-rays, explaining that she was in Mexico and slipped and fell on wet tile. The fall was hard enough to fracture the sixth rib on her left side. The pain was so excruciating there was no way she could get on a plane and fly back to Nashville. Musgraves reassured fans she is being well taken care of and apologized for the inconvenience.
Next is Luke Bryan, who had to postpone two shows because of vocal issues. Bryan paused a performance partway through his concert in Rogers, Arkansas, to explain it’s the weirdest thing, every time he plays that particular venue, he loses his voice. The “Mind of a Country Boy” singer went on to apologize for not giving the best show possible, and he was going to make sure everyone in the audience got a refund.
