The Colorado Chamber of Commerce hosts the annual Coolest Thing Made in Colorado competition, highlighting the “vibrant and diverse manufacturing industry” across the state, and this year’s contestants are really cool!

The one that stood out to me is the Pilatus PC-24 Jet, which is the only business jet in the world that can land on unpaved surfaces like dirt, grass and gravel, according to the release. It is manufactured by Pilatus Business Aircraft at the Rocky Mountain Metro Airport in Broomfield.

Other finalists for 2024 include a a fully automated bladder scanner designed to enhance infection control in health care settings, handmade wooden jigsaw puzzles, and bison meat. Check out all ten finalists here.
