With one of the biggest holidays coming up, Campbell’s held their annual report to find out each state’s favorite side dish for Thanksgiving.
In 2024, 56 percent of adults preferred eating side dishes over turkey at Thanksgiving. According to Campbell’s, that number has gone up to 63 percent in 2025.
After surveying 5,000 adults across the United States, mashed potatoes were the top side dish for Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, New Mexico, Utah and Washington.
Florida and New York’s favorite side was mac and cheese.
For the majority of the country, including Colorado, the top side dish is stuffing.
According to Campbell’s, 66 percent of people enjoy cooking the side more than the turkey, and 85 percent of people agree that leftovers are one of the best parts of Thanksgiving.
