Colorado’s second biggest baseball team after the Rockies is leaving the state

Colorado has not been a great place for baseball lately. Of course the Colorado Rockies are in the midst of their worst stretch in franchise history, and now the next biggest team in the state is going away.
An owner of The Rocky Mountain Vibes told KRDO that the team will no longer going to operate in Colorado Springs.
The Vibes had been an independent baseball team of the Pioneer League, an MLB Partner League, since they were founded in 2019. Prior to that Colorado Springs was home to the Sky Sox, a Triple-A affiliate of the Rockies, Brewers, and Indians over their tenure in the state from 1988 through 2018.
The Vibes will not relocate to another city in 2026, and there are currently no plans for any baseball teams to fill the void in Colorado Springs at Blocktickets Park.
