I’ve lived in Colorado my entire life and, somehow, I have never been to Lakeside Amusement Park, but I am changing that this summer for sure. The historic amusement and theme park opens for the season this weekend.
Lakeside Amusement Park, located at I-70 and Sheridan, has been operating at the same location since 1908. The park features trains, a merry-go-round, drop tower, bumper cars and many spinning rides.
Lakeside will be open exclusively on weekends for the rest of May through Memorial Day Weekend, then will be open most weekdays starting on June 5. Check their website before you go.
There’s no official word on whether or not their iconic roller coaster, Cyclone, will be operating this season, after it was out of service all last season.
