Colorado’s newest amphitheater hasn’t even opened and it already has a new name

Colorado’s newest home for live music is coming this summer on the north side of Colorado Springs, and it’s getting a new name before it even opens it’s doors for the first time.

The venue formally known as the “Sunset Amphitheater” will now officially be known as the “Ford Amphitheater.”

The Ford Amphitheater is an 8,000-capacity venue that is set to open on Friday, Aug. 9 with a concert from One Republic. The band will perform on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Country music shows at the venue include Dierks Bentley and Walker Hayes later this summer.
