Colorado Speeder Going Over 80 MPH Over the Limit Had a Horrible Excuse

Aug 15, 2023, 4:37 PM

Have you ever been speeding and thought to yourself, “this is what excuse I’ll tell the cop if I happen to get pulled over”? Hopefully your excuse was better than a person in Colorado who recently got popped for gang 84 miles per hour over the limit!

An El Paso County Sheriff’s Office deputy clocked the speeder traveling at 139 miles per hour on Highway 24 near Falcon on Tuesday morning. Most of this road in the Colorado Springs area has a speed limit of 55 miles per hour.

The driver then provided the excuse of being “late for work.”

As a result of the alleged speeding, the driver faces a mandatory court appearance with a 32-point citation.
