I really thought the Netflix show about JonBenet Ramsey that came out recently would help get the case solved, but sadly that just hasn’t been the case…
The Boulder Police Department released its annual update on the investigation into JonBenet Ramsey’s murder, nearly 29 years after her death, but nothing has really changed.
“Last year we gave you an update about a lot of the work that has been done to solve this crime and those efforts have continued,” said Boulder Police Chief Stephen Redfearn said. “This case remains a top priority for our department.”
JonBenet Ramsey, 6, was found dead in the basement of her family’s home on Dec. 26, 1996, and her murderer still hasn’t been found.
“This past year, our detectives have conducted several new interviews as well as re-interviewed individuals based on tips we’ve received. We have also collected new evidence and tested and re-tested other pieces of evidence to generate new leads,” Redfearn said. “Techniques and technology constantly evolve. This is especially true with technology related to DNA testing.”
